We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team managing design activities across the MOD Estate within Oxfordshire.

You’ll oversee a portfolio of projects ranging from £1M to £15M, encompassing both refurbishment and new build schemes. This is a key role within our construction and project delivery function, ensuring that design solutions are compliant, efficient, and delivered to the highest technical and quality standards.

• Lead and coordinate all design activities from concept through to completion.
• Manage the interface between design consultants, clients, and construction teams.
• Ensure compliance with MOD and Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) design standards.
• Oversee design risk management, buildability reviews, and technical submissions.
• Monitor design programmes and ensure timely delivery of design information to meet project milestones.
• Foster a collaborative, proactive design culture within project teams.

• Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator in a construction environment.
• Background in managing design for refurbishment and new build projects (MOD or secure estates experience desirable).
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in design management software and BIM principles.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering
