Job Overview
Receipt & Distribution (R&D) Stores Manager – responsible for managing the Supply Chain and Receipt & Distribution team within the R&D function, overseeing the Receipting and Goods In services and supporting management in modernising the R&D functions.
Working Hours- Weekly rotating shift pattern: 07:30 – 15:30 and 10:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday.
- Manage the distribution of workload to staff in line with policy & process.
- Ensure adequate resources & equipment are available for daily workloads.
- Maintain the general security of the Receipts area.
- Manage staff activity to meet required standards for customers.
- Allocate staff to daily tasks to maintain an effective and efficient stores operation.
- Update and maintain specific information in line with quality procedures.
- Assist in the unloading of vehicles and staging of items for distribution.
- Supervise and oversee the booking in process.
- Support senior management in implementing modernisation of processes.
- Monitor staff performance and analyse information using audit methods.
- Receive, process and scan stock into the R&D stores from third parties and regional stores.
- Allocate stock items to wards and schedule distribution in a timely manner.
- Deliver stock and non-stock items across the Health Board site.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable;

Person Specification Experience- Educated to HNC/Diploma level and/or equivalent experience in a Stores environment.
- Experience in policy and proposed changes to practice and previous supervisory/management experience.
- Knowledge and experience of risk assessments and identifying risk within a busy environment.
- Experience of system developments and enhancements to support services plus training and development requirements of staff.
