We are Thales, a leader in defense and security solutions. We are seeking an experienced Materials Planner to support our high‑tech manufacturing operations.

• Location: Belfast
• Type: Permanent (4‑day week, Mon‑Thu)

An exciting vacancy for a Materials Planner to work in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment. Ideal for candidates with a background in material or manufacturing planning, or a recent graduate in Business Management, IT, Manufacturing or Engineering.

• Plan material requirements and manufacturing workflow to support production schedules.
• Develop and compile manufacturing KPIs to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Analyse manufacturing activities against schedules and performance targets.
• Maintain parts supply through manufacturing systems.
• Provide training and support to manufacturing staff on systems.
• Provide planning support to Work and Material Planning functions.

Applicants should hold a degree, preferably in Business Management, IT, Manufacturing or Engineering, or have proven experience as a Material or Manufacturing Planner.

• Highly interpersonal skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Strong project and task follow‑through to completion.
• High standard of accuracy under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Enthusiastic, motivated attitude to work.
• Confident use of initiative with an innovative problem‑solving approach.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems and material planning principles desirable.
• Experience using ERP systems or similar.
