We, Next Generation, have been appointed to recruit for a Technical Estimator for a well-established manufacturing business that specialises in precision machined components.

• Job Title: Technical Estimator
• Job type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday – Friday (08:00am – 16:30pm)
• Salary: £50,000 p.a.

• Estimating and processing customer quotations for CNC Machined components.
• Preparing cost estimates to support acquisition of new business including relevant requirements.
• Working closely with supply chain to order materials to customer specifications.
• Managing estimating activities within the team.
• Reading specifications and extracting relevant information.
• Liaising with the production team to establish best manufacturing methods.
• Re-costing work carried out.
• Implementing and recording any process changes.
• Checking pricing is up to date on recurring jobs using costing forms.
• Liaising with sales executives and outside suppliers on technical data and prices.

• Previous experience costing / estimating within a precision engineering environment (Essential).
• Engineering / Production Experience (Essential) – Previous experience working with turned parts or a machining environment (Essential).
• Previous Experience Working Within a Precision Manufacturing (Essential).
