Material Planner
Location – Peterborough, Hybrid Role
Salary – £16.32 per hour
9‑Month Contract (with potential extension)

Your Role as a Material PlannerAs a Material Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials to meet demand. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing materials planning panels daily to align supply with demand.
- Releasing new purchase orders for whole goods to meet delivery timelines.
- Managing supplier order boards, updating planning systems, and processing purchase order changes.
- Providing accurate updates to customer order management teams.
- Collaborating in end‑to‑end planning meetings and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
- Aligning supply plans with demand plans to optimise inventory levels.
- Monitoring abnormal demand signals and stock levels to adjust plans accordingly.
- Running simulations to analyse planning parameter changes and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Be involved in the active H&S process endorsement and practice promotion.
- Contributing to quality, safety, and process improvement projects.
Our client values individuals who bring expertise and passion to their work. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3‑5 years of relevant experience in materials planning, production scheduling, or inventory control.
- Proficiency in materials planning systems and tools such as Excel, Access, or TOAD.
- Strong competencies in communication, results‑driven approaches, and managing complexity.
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialised skills obtained through education, training, or on‑the‑job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control.
