Salary – £16.32 per hour

9‑Month Contract (with potential extension)

As a Material Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials to meet demand. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing materials planning panels daily to align supply with demand.
• Releasing new purchase orders for whole goods to meet delivery timelines.
• Managing supplier order boards, updating planning systems, and processing purchase order changes.
• Providing accurate updates to customer order management teams.
• Collaborating in end‑to‑end planning meetings and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

• Aligning supply plans with demand plans to optimise inventory levels.
• Monitoring abnormal demand signals and stock levels to adjust plans accordingly.
• Running simulations to analyse planning parameter changes and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Be involved in the active H&S process endorsement and practice promotion.
• Contributing to quality, safety, and process improvement projects.

Our client values individuals who bring expertise and passion to their work. The ideal candidate will have:

• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in materials planning, production scheduling, or inventory control.
• Proficiency in materials planning systems and tools such as Excel, Access, or TOAD.
• Strong competencies in communication, results‑driven approaches, and managing complexity.
• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialised skills obtained through education, training, or on‑the‑job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control.
