Profiles Creative is recruiting a Founding Writer, Social Sci-Fi on behalf of a client.

What if the next era-defining sci-fi franchise isn't premiered in cinemas, but built directly in public across social feeds? We are partnering with a frontier technology venture agency to discover a visionary creative architect. Having backed trailblazing startups turning science fiction into tangible reality, our client is launching an original, AI-native, social-first sci-fi universe that blends cinematic mythology with provocative, high-concept aesthetics.

This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote role based anywhere in the United Kingdom, designed for a storyteller ready to craft thumb-stopping digital worlds. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Architect the foundational mythologies, deep lore bibles, and core story engines for an expansive, transmedia sci-fi franchise.
• Write cinematic, punchy 30-90-second social scripts and vignettes engineered to thrive on algorithmic feeds and captivate modern audiences.
• Develop complex character arcs and modular narrative structures capable of spawning thousands of interconnected storylines.
• Integrate generative AI platforms and prompt workflows directly into the day-to-day writing process to rapidly visualise, draft, and iterate story assets.
• Operate as a hands-on maker, conceiving, testing, and shipping speculative fiction experiments directly onto emerging digital channels.

• Demonstrated mastery of sci-fi world building, lore bible creation, and narrative universe design.
• Proven track record in short-form, social-native scriptwriting (30-90 seconds) with an instinctive grasp of viral hooks and mobile-first pacing.
• Hands-on proficiency with generative AI creative tools and workflows, such as Midjourney, Runway, and generative video systems.
• Strong background in transmedia and franchise storytelling, understanding how participatory digital culture and online communities interact with lore.
• Exceptional concept ideation and creative direction, with a sharp aesthetic sensibility informed by speculative fiction and fashion-forward visual culture.

• Cross-disciplinary background bridging advertising copywriting, gaming narrative design, film, or creator-led digital media.
• Practical insight into algorithmic dynamics, audience participation mechanics, and community-driven storytelling.
• Previous collaboration with creative technologists, frontier tech founders, or experimental digital production labs.
