Civic Engagement Data & Intelligence Officer
* Interviews to be held on 22nd January 2026*.
This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you passionate about enabling our university to make a real civic and social impact? Do you have strong analytical, database and stakeholder-mapping skills? Would you like to help shape how the University of Leeds captures and uses insight on its civic engagement and regional partnerships?
As a civic university our community is at the heart of what we do and what we are, working together we are making the city and region the best it can be. Central to the University's values and purpose is our commitment to having a positive impact on our local, national and global societies. Our civic activity includes how we work in partnership with industry, government and civil society in our locality to integrate our teaching, research and engagement in the wider world for public good.
To achieve this we are looking to to bring greater clarity, alignment and visibility to all our civic activity, including engagement with local and combined authorities; SMEs; large corporates; public and third sector organisations, schools; FE and other HEIs; health organisations; community and voluntary groups; and the public. These diverse forms of engagement have many different approaches and are delivered by multiple teams across the institution.
You will gather and analyse high-quality, actionable intelligence and evidence that supports the consolidation and evaluation of the University's civic activities and partnerships. Crucially, this will help the University to better understand, report on, and strategically develop its civic footprint across Leeds, the region and beyond.
You will be central to mapping and coordinating this civic engagement activity, providing both a strategic overview and a data-driven foundation for decision-making and intelligence sharing. By managing and reporting on this key data, you will ensure transparency for all civic activity and help the institution bring visibility to its civic mission.
We will consider secondments and can be flexible with the FTE.
Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions. For more information please visit: .
