Quality Engineer (Quality Advisor)

Balfour Beatty is looking for an experienced Quality Advisor to join our Regional Build team on the Head House project based in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the high‑profile HS2 project with one of the UK’s leading infrastructure and construction initiatives.

As a Quality Advisor you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are achieved across all aspects of the project. You will work closely with site teams, supply chain partners and stakeholders to promote a right‑first‑time approach and ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the project Quality Management System
  • Carry out inspections, audits and quality reviews on site
  • Ensure works comply with specifications, drawings, standards and procedures
  • Identify quality issues early and support corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
  • Promote a strong quality culture across the project team
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Quality Advisor (or similar) role within construction or infrastructure
  • Excellent eye for detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and assurance processes
  • Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with site teams
  • Relevant qualification in construction, engineering or quality (desirable)
