Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

• Develop benchmark tasks to evaluate AI models’ abilities to autonomously design and execute complex bioinformatics workflows.
• Work with raw sequencing data and natural language prompts to simulate real-world bioinformatics scenarios.
• Apply tool proficiency, deep biological knowledge, and rigorous scientific reasoning to create and validate these benchmarks.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a highly skilled research team.

Ideal Candidate

• Current graduate student or degree holder (M.S., Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Scientist) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a similar quantitative field.
• Experienced with bioinformatics command line tools.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
