Scientific Assistant - Feed & Contaminants Unit

We are looking for a

Scientific Assistant to work
in the FEEDCO Unit.

Assignment:
initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extension. Expected duration of assignment 12 months.

Salary:
approx. € 2259 per month before taxes.

Work modalities:
office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possible within 2 hours from EFSA's premises in Parma, Italy, for the remaining days.

Retribuzione annua: 28000€ - 34000€

The interim will:

Support the applicants that seek for the authorisation of feed additives
Support the risk assessment of feed additives
Collect and collate data from scientific databases
Support the publication process
Undertaking literature searches and reviews on selected scientific topics

Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level)
Previous experience in risk assessment and in the animal feed field
Degree in Animal Science and/or Veterinary Science and related areas
Behavioural competencies: working with others, analysis and problem solving, drive for results, good level of autonomy
