Overview
Research Fellow - Clinical Research Physician - fixed-term for one year at Insel Gruppe. The Department of Radiation Oncology at Bern University Hospital (Inselspital) is seeking a research fellow / clinical research physician to support research projects in genitourinary (GU) malignancies, with a particular focus on prostate cancer.
Responsibilities- Design and development of study protocols for prospective and retrospective clinical studies
- Participation in clinical research projects (prospective and retrospective)
- Involvement in AI-based projects in radiation oncology
- Support in the preparation and submission of ethics applications, as well as in the set-up and maintenance of research databases
- Data analysis, study design and preparation of manuscripts
- Preparation of scientific presentations (publications, conference abstracts and talks)
- Support in the preparation of third-party funding applications (grant applications)
- Medical degree (MD)
- Interest in clinical research in radiation oncology / GU tumours
- Previous experience in radiation oncology or in academic research/statistics is desirable but not mandatory
- Willingness to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Good written communication skills in a scientific context
- Possibility of recognition of the position as a training year in radiation oncology
- Work within an interdisciplinary research environment
- Participation in national and international clinical studies
- Opportunities to contribute to scientific publications and conference presentations
- Collaboration with specialists in uro-oncology, nuclear medicine, radiology and AI research
