About The Role
We are looking to appoint an experienced Store Design & Visual Merchandising Manager. The role is accountable and combines strategic Store Design with hands‑on Visual Merchandising to deliver immersive brand experiences across all retail touchpoints. The Manager will create store layouts, fixture design, and seasonal visual campaigns, ensuring global brand consistency and customer appeal. The Manager will also be responsible for the successful implementation, ensuring the quality aligns to our luxury standards, on time and within budget.
This role reports directly to the Sales & Education Director.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with Global Store Design to develop and implement Store Design and Visual Merchandising strategies aligned with brand aesthetics and our Global image.
- Create store layouts and floor plans to optimise product visibility and customer service opportunities, including new store openings, flagship renovations and counter refurbishments.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for store/counter builds, display materials and installations, ensuring they meet luxury standards, stay within budget and are delivered on time.
- Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Education to best support product launches and marketing campaigns with tailored visual executions.
- Educate store teams on visual standards and merchandising techniques.
- Analyse and regularly report on sales data to evaluate the impact of rebuilds and visual merchandising efforts.
- Lead store design projects including pop‑ups and flagship renovations.
- Design and execute visual displays and planograms for our product ranges.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support promotional activities.
- Conduct regular store visits to audit visual standards and provide coaching on visual merchandising.
- Agree and manage budgets for each new store opening, renovations, visual merchandising materials and installations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Research industry trends and competitor strategies to inform design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for all installations and propose updates as regulations change.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related discipline; an architectural degree is a benefit.
- Proven management experience in a related role within luxury retail, preferably in fragrance/beauty.
- Strong proven project management and budget handling skills.
- Creative flair with a deep understanding of customer behaviours.
- Ability to travel across the UK/Ireland and simultaneously manage multiple store projects.
- Strong creative and design skills with commercial awareness, combined with the ability to influence and manage external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up).
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- A passion for excellence in execution, the industry and the role.
Location & Travel
London Office based (EC1) at least three days per week with flexibility to work from home – one to two days per week. Role includes travel across the UK and Ireland.
