Technical Sales Engineer

Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a

Technical Sales Engineer

Our client is a proactive and innovative manufacturer of water treatment equipment, steelwork, process pipework and fabricated tanks, silos and pressure vessels. They are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their sales team, to focus on sales to the Water Industry.

Duties

* Manage your sales region, identifying sales opportunities and achieving KPI's.

* Manage and grow existing relationships as well as new business development.

* Promote & participate in hosting potential clients in visits to our company facilities.

* Present quotations to clients including prompt follow ups

* Lead the quotation/tender process.

* Work with Senior Management to set and monitor sales targets to achieve objectives.

* Participate in trade shows as required.

* Create reports and forecasts as required.

* Monitor business trends, competitor data and gather market intelligence relating to the Water Industry.

* Work closely with the Proposals Department to ensure an excellent standard of quotation is prepared and presented

* Liaise with various engineering departments.

Skills and Attributes Required

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

* First-class presentation skills.

* Ideally a background in developing new business opportunities within the Water Industry.

* Experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Key Account Manager or similar within mechanical engineering background would be an advantage.

* A proven background in sales including sales pipeline management and development of new business.

* Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable company.

* Willingness to travel, you will be home based covering UK wide with occasional staying away

* Excellent analytical and organisational skills.

* A proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Remuneration & Benefits:

* This is a permanent position

* Working remotely from home / on the road

 * £50K + Basic (39 hours) Dependant on experience

* Company Car or Allowance

* Mobile phone & laptop

* Nights out when required, fully expensed

* Holidays start at 25 days plus stats, increasing over 3 years to reach 28 days plus stats.

* Pension – employer contribution 6%
