• Undertake high-quality single assessments within statutory time frames, ensuring a child-focused and strengths-based methodology.
• Identify risks and protective factors, recommending suitable interventions.
• Collaborate with children, families, and professionals across education, health, police, and voluntary sectors to gather crucial information and enhance service delivery.
• Develop clear and outcome-oriented plans based on detailed assessments.
• Present cases effectively in multi-agency meetings, child protection conferences, and court proceedings when necessary.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records in compliance with legal and procedural standards.
• Adhere to legislative frameworks and statutory guidelines such as ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ and organisational policies.
• Engage in team meetings, supervision sessions, and reflective practice exercises for continuous improvement.

• Qualified Social Worker with active Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience within a statutory children’s services setting, preferably within an assessment team.
• In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
• Proven experience in executing thorough, evidence-based assessments and delivering impactful interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building connections with children, families, and partner agencies.
• Ability to juggle a varied caseload efficiently under demanding circumstances.
• Proficiency in electronic case management systems.
