Community Engagement Regeneration Officer.

Location:

Bedford. Salary: £16,500 per annum.

Hours:

Part time – 18.5 hours per week. This is a permanent, part time vacancy that will close in 7 hours at 23:59 GMT.

• Delivering community engagement for regeneration projects, with a focus on Greyfriars, Bedford.
• Bringing people together to address important local issues and co-create regeneration proposals.
• Engaging and consulting with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Gathering and sharing community and stakeholder views to influence positive change.
• Organising and representing bpha at public events, liaising with political stakeholders, local authorities, and partner agencies.
• Supporting customers through the regeneration process, including helping with moves to new homes.
• Maintaining accurate records of all engagement activity.
• Working flexibly, including some evenings and weekends (with flexi-time arrangements).

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships and earn trust at all levels.
• Creative approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
• Good organisation, planning, and project management skills.
• Experience in community engagement, regeneration, or social housing (desirable).
• Ability to work with diverse communities, including those experiencing social or economic disadvantage.
• Physically fit and able to meet the operational demands of the role.
• Patience, perseverance, and a positive, motivated attitude.

• This is a remote working position (home based), with regular travel to Greyfriars or the office or other locations, with a flexible approach to cover other areas.
• Must be able to drive and have use of a car for work.
• Happy to work evenings and weekends if necessary to attend events and meetings.
