Salary :

  • PAYE : £13.26 per hour
  • Umbrella : £17.15 per hour

Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking an experienced and organised MARAC Co-ordinator to provide short-term sickness cover within the Community Safety Team. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding victims of domestic abuse by ensuring the effective coordination and administration of the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) process.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-impact service, working closely with partner agencies across the Safer Vale Partnership.

What You’ll Do :

  • Act as the first point of contact for professional agencies involved in the MARAC process.
  • Administer and coordinate MARAC procedures in line with established operating protocols.
  • Arrange, coordinate, attend, and minute MARAC meetings.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage tracking systems for MARAC cases, actions, recommendations, and minutes.
  • Coordinate the target hardening service for victims of domestic abuse and ensure quality control.
  • Provide cover for the Domestic Abuse Assessment and Referral Service when required.
  • Collect, analyse, and produce accurate performance and monitoring reports.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, safeguarding, and information‑sharing legislation.
  • Share relevant data with external bodies including the Home Office, Welsh Government, Police and Crime Commissioner, and other partners as appropriate.
  • Adhere to Council policies on equal opportunities, health and safety, financial regulations, and environmental responsibilities.
  • Escalate safeguarding concerns immediately in line with Council procedures.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Experience working in a multi‑agency or community safety environment.
  • Strong administrative, coordination, and organisational skills.
  • Confidence in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partner agencies.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse processes, safeguarding, or MARAC procedures is highly desirable.

Essential Requirements :

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ references / work history.
