Family Drug & Alcohol Court Locality Social Worker
Join Gloucestershire County Council as a Family Drug & Alcohol Court Locality Social Worker. This permanent position is based in Tewkesbury and is part of the Children & Families team.

- Annual salary: £39,152 – £47,181

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver systemic practice that is curious, courageous, and compassionate.
- Apply trauma‑informed approaches and deepen understanding of Hidden Harm and its impact.
- Build confidence in court settings and represent the expert voice of social workers.
- Implement restorative practice with high support and high challenge.
- Develop multi‑agency interventions and collaborative permanency planning.
- Ensure equal access to FDAC for families across all localities.
- Hold one FDAC case (approximately 2 days per week) and attend fortnightly FDAC hearings with the family.
- Write and curate all FDAC reports (review, evidence, final).
- Attend formulation and intervention planning meetings.
- Deliver interventions and support permanency planning within a multidisciplinary team (including nurses, therapists, and support workers).
- Participate in a full induction, peer and one‑to‑one supervision, and contribute to transformation reviews.
About You
- Full driving licence and willingness to drive.
- DBS clearance.
- Completed your ASYE year (if qualified after 2012).
