The Software Engineer (Node.js & Type Script) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and related services. You will work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, UX designers, and engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo
DB, S3, SQS, and Step Functions. - Write clean, testable code following SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI principles.
- Build robust testing suites (unit, integration, end-to-end) with Jest/Vitest and AWS mocks.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability; troubleshoot production issues.
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and team knowledge sharing.
- Implement secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10, IAM least privilege).
- Maintain clear technical documentation and stay current with Node.js, Type Script, AWS, and serverless trends.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience with Node.js and Type Script in production environments.
- Strong background in AWS Lambda and serverless development.
- Solid understanding of AWS services (API Gateway, Dynamo
DB, S3, SQS, Step Functions). - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Serverless Framework, or SAM).
- Skilled in Git Hub, modern branching strategies, and CI/CD automation.
- Proficient in testing and TDD, including AWS service mocking.
- Knowledge of serverless security best practices.
- Experience in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban), familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, exposure to observability tools (Cloud Watch, X-Ray, Sentry). Understanding of monorepo/polyrepo structures and distributed systems.
