PositionStaff Software Engineer
Hybrid: 2 days per week in‑office;

London Bridge (once a month to Fleet)
Tempcover is modernising its systems to power the next generation of technology. We are looking for a Staff Engineer who can bring deep experience to shape this journey, working with high ownership, empowerment, and impact.
What You’ll Be Doing- Effectively evolve, enhance, and modernise large‑scale systems to enable rapid adaptability and continuous improvement.
- Improve the performance, reliability and scalability of our .NET systems.
- Develop and drive automation for deployment, monitoring, and scaling of infrastructure. Build tools and processes to enable continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
- Make data‑guided decisions that impact core business metrics and processes.
- Solid understanding of platform and reliability engineering approaches, including observability, performance optimisation, capturing analytics and security best practices.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies like Golang.
- Facilitate collaboration between teams and build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on engineering best practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting.

What We’re Looking ForThe highest level of proficiency developing applications using most of the following:
- C# ASP.NET, .NET Core
- AWS products like Lambdas, Dynamo
DB, etc.; comfortable with Azure and Azure Dev Ops. - Containerisation and IaC approach (Terraform is a plus).
- A solid understanding of development methodologies and design patterns.
- Golang is a plus.
- Cloudflare, Fastly.
- React, Typescript, Astro, NodeJS are nice to have.
