You’ll Be Doing
- Effectively evolve, enhance, and modernize large-scale systems to enable rapid adaptability and continuous improvement.
- Improve the performance, reliability and scalability of our systems.
- Develop and drive automation for deployment, monitoring, and scaling of infrastructure. Build tools and processes to enable continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
- Make data guided decisions that impact core business metrics and processes.
- Solid understanding of platform and reliability engineering approaches, including observability, performance optimisation, capturing analytics and security best practices.
- Drive the adoption of technologies like Go and Python.
- Facilitate collaboration between teams and build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on engineering best practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Golang knowledge and experience.
- AWS products like Lambdas, Dynamo
DB, etc but also comfortable in Azure and Azure Dev Ops. - Containerisation and IaC approach (Terraform is a plus).
- A solid understanding of development methodologies and design patterns.
- Python and SST (desirable).
- C# ASP.NET, .Net Core (desirable).
- Cloudflare (desirable).
- React, Typescript, Astro, NodeJS (desirable).
