Senior Software Engineer - Node.js / Type Script / Azure

Location: Remote (Northern Ireland wide);
Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience);

We're partnering with a local, award-winning software company that designs and delivers bespoke digital solutions for major clients across multiple industries.

They are now seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their high-performing team, working on large-scale, cloud-based applications that drive real business impact.

You'll be a key contributor in shaping backend systems and APIs, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and performant

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Type Script .
• Work with Azure cloud services to deliver scalable, cloud-native applications.
• Take ownership of key systems and projects from design through to deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for clients.
• Break down complex requirements into clear, prioritised tasks.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and maintainability through best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Type Script with Node.js on the server side.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade, maintainable software

• Solid understanding of system architecture and cloud-native design

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., App Services, Functions, Cosmos DB, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/No

• Experience writing unit, integration, and functional tests

• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to mentor others.

• Experience working with APIs at scale

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

• Understanding of Agile methodologies
