• As part of the UiPath IXP engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of intelligent document processing innovation, building and scaling the critical systems that allow our AI‑powered extraction capabilities to operate seamlessly across use‑cases, environments and document types.
• You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining our backend services and infrastructure, including a highly available public API, data‑aggregation services and real‑time pipelines to support and scale both our specialized and generative AI extraction models.
• The stack is written in Python and Rust with a few other programming languages mixed in. All services run in Docker and are orchestrated by Kubernetes.
• We’re looking for someone who loves programming and computers, can learn quickly and work on multiple problems at the same time.

• As a Senior Software Engineer you will work with engineering teams and product managers to design, engineer and operate our highly scalable, available and secure AI platform.
• Solve hard concurrency, performance, and distributed systems problems to ensure the platform is bulletproof for high‑volume production workloads.
• Work with complex and demanding infrastructure requirements to maintain data security, reliability and compliance.
• Continuously work with other teams at UiPath across the globe to solve common problems, encourage efficiency and drive innovation.
• Participate in solutions across the stack, pushing your own knowledge boundaries and comfort zones.
• Occasionally interact with customer‑facing issues to better understand the customer perspective in all things we do.
• Contribute to agile engineering practices, mentor other members of the team and help hire new people.
• Recent examples include: migrating away from a legacy database system into a modern, scalable alternative; re‑architecting storage logic to support secure and segregated customer encryption; designing multi‑cloud agnostic deployment infrastructure to allow for flexible GPU availability.

• A solid track record (5+ years) of engineering and architecting large‑scale, distributed commercial services.
• Confidence with Python and willingness to learn new programming languages. Rust is a bonus!
• Strong, real‑world experience with cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm). Understanding of production system deployment, monitoring and scaling is required.
• Experience with SQL and distributed DBMSes (e.g. Postgresql, Cockroach
  
  DB, Elastic Search).
• Knowledge and appreciation of statically typed languages and using type systems to catch bugs early, rather than at runtime.
• A pragmatic understanding of computer science fundamentals; emphasis on solving real‑world problems with data structures and algorithms.
• An opinion on what makes good code and architecture, and the ability to articulate it. Comfortable challenging assumptions and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of GNU/Linux.
