We are looking for a Software Engineer (Cloud/Data) to work remotely anywhere in the Philippines for a Singapore-based client of OTA. For this job, we only process candidates that are based in the Philippines and have legal authorization to work in the Philippines.

They typically serve DTC brands, retailers, importers, and private‑label agencies across categories such as home & living, beauty, fitness, pet, and consumer accessories.
PurposeAs a Software Engineer (Cloud/Data), you play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of various features as well as responsible for maintaining and scaling company's cloud infrastructure and data pipelines. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions that drive business value. This role requires a blend of software engineering expertise, cloud infrastructure knowledge, and a strong understanding of data architectures.

Updated 5th Mar, 2025applications and data systems. - Working on both front‑end and back‑end frameworks, and third‑party libraries.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for real‑time and batch data processing.
- Ensure system reliability and performance by implementing best practices for cloud infrastructure and data handling.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing using modern data lake and warehouse solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing cloud and data solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve processes and systems.
- Enhance application performance using your expert knowledge of Frontend & Backend Frameworks, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Design, implement, and optimize GenAI‑powered applications leveraging LLMs and advanced retrieval techniques.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience (with several years in cloud infrastructure and data engineering roles). Prior experience as a senior engineer designing cloud architectures and data systems at scale is a plus.
- Extensive experience with our core stack:
Node.js, Next.js, React, Express, Type Script, Sequelize & Python - Excellent problem‑solving skills as well as strong understanding of core CS Fundamentals to troubleshoot and optimise performance.
- Cloud Expertise: Proven expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its ecosystem (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Dynamo
DB, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, SQS, Sage Maker, etc.). Hands‑on experience designing and operating AWS‑based solutions at scale is essential. - Containerization & Orchestration: Strong knowledge of Docker and Docker Swarm/Kubernetes, with experience managing containerized microservices and clusters in production.
