This role is ideal for a full stack developer with a passion for building innovative platforms in the music and tourism sector. The project centers on developing a search and booking platform tailored to music tourism in the UK, with a strong emphasis on seamless API integrations and user-centered design. The front end is largely complete, and the focus is on backend development and integrating multiple third‑party APIs to enable users to search and book based on specific criteria.

The position is remote and offers the opportunity to contribute to a unique, niche platform with potential for future collaboration.

Deliverables

Develop and implement backend functionality to support a robust search and booking experience.
Integrate APIs from five to six external sites, ensuring reliable data flow and user experience.
Provide additional front-end support as needed to enhance usability and performance.
Collaborate on refining platform features based on user needs and project goals.
Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
Document code and integration processes for future maintenance and potential follow-up work.

Requirements

Proven experience as a full stack developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
Expertise in API integration, especially for search and booking platforms.
Proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or similar.
Solid understanding of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) and ability to support existing code.
Experience with database design and management (SQL or No

SQL).
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting.
Familiarity with the music, events, or tourism sectors is a plus.
Availability for project-based work with potential for future collaboration.
