Backend Rust Engineer - Options Trading
Keyrock, a leader in digital asset market‑making and a pioneer in adopting Rust for algorithmic trading, is hiring a Backend Rust Engineer to build and improve our low‑latency options trading system.
Responsibilities- Design, code and maintain scalable backend services in Rust, focusing on low‑latency and high‑throughput.
- Own features from requirements gathering through deployment, ensuring clear API design and extensibility.
- Operate and debug production systems, applying an operational mindset to infrastructure and deployments.
- Work collaboratively in a fully remote, globally distributed team, communicating effectively across time zones.
- Iterate quickly, balancing business needs with long‑term technical vision.
- Leverage unit, integration and functional testing to maintain high reliability.
- 5+ years of experience building low‑latency or data‑heavy trading or similar systems.
- Proficiency in Rust and/or C/C++; willingness to deepen Rust expertise.
- Experience with Postgre
SQL, protobuf‑based protocols or equivalent technologies. - Knowledge or strong interest in options trading; experience with exchange connectivity or FPGA technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with unit and integration testing practices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a pragmatic approach to system design.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and “big picture” architectural thinking with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, a team player, and ability to collaborate remotely.
- Initial HR interview
