Salary: £70,000 - £120,000 (depending on experience)

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Front End Developer to help deliver modern, user-focused digital services for clients in the Defence sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team transforming the way Defence users interact with critical systems. You'll work closely with designers, UX specialists, back-end developers and stakeholders to bring ideas to life through intuitive and responsive interfaces.

You'll be key to developing new applications, optimising performance, and shaping the digital journey from prototype through to production.

What you'll be doing:

Building responsive, high-quality web applications and user interfaces using HTML, CSS and Java Script

Translating design mock-ups and wireframes into accessible, functional front-end features

Collaborating with back-end teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs and data services

Testing, debugging and maintaining code to ensure usability across devices and browsers

Staying current with front-end development tools, trends and frameworks

Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement within the team

Supporting the adoption of new digital capabilities across Defence environments

Working in a fast-paced, agile team to solve real-world user challenges

What we're looking for:

UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is essential

Experience as a Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio of front-end applications

Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, including modern frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js

Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Familiarity with version control (Git) and front-end build tools like Webpack or Gulp

Ability to collaborate with UI/UX designers and translate designs into working interfaces

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality code

Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team

A proactive and curious mindset, with a desire to stay updated on evolving front-end technologies
