An AI Health Tech company is expanding its high‑calibre engineering team and looking for Software Engineers who thrive on building elegant, scalable systems from the ground up.
You’ll be joining a small, world‑class team working on distributed backend platforms, data‑driven AI tools, and core infrastructure supporting advanced medical technologies. This is a true software engineering role where you'll be designing, building, and scaling complex systems that solve real problems in healthcare.
Role- Design and build production‑grade backend systems using Python and FastAPI
- Develop distributed, high‑performance services and APIs for AI‑driven platforms
- Contribute to architecture decisions, scalability planning, and system optimisation
- Implement best practices in testing, CI / CD, and performance monitoring
- Collaborate closely with product, AI, and data teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the engineering organisation
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer building modern backend systems
- Strong Python skills (FastAPI preferred; Flask or Django also considered)
- Knowledge of system design, data modelling, and distributed architecture
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation
- Understanding of software engineering best practices — testing, CI / CD, clean code
- A genuine interest in AI systems, automation, and applying engineering to real‑world impact
- Fully remote working across the UK, with an optional Holborn office
