You’re a Back End Engineer, ideally with 3+ years’ experience, who’s excited to forge a new way to save. You’re focused on producing and maintaining high‑quality systems to achieve business objectives, contributing to the development process, and understanding system design and architecture. You’ll work in partnership with relevant teams across the organisation to identify how technology can solve business challenges and be able to explain how and why technology is designed and delivered.

We are a Microsoft shop, so our core language is C# and our platform is entirely in the cloud on Azure, using a variety of PaaS services including Web Apps, Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos, Azure Service Bus, App Insights, and APIM. As a Back End Engineer, you will play an active role in an Agile software team, collaborating to deliver new features and a high‑quality, resilient product.

• Ideally over 3 years commercial development experience with C#/ .NET / .NET Core
• A good understanding of SOLID principles, Event Driven Architecture (EDA), and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience of RESTful API design
• Experience of Azure cloud development, and a cloud‑first approach
• A good foundation in testing strategies or Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies
• Emotional intelligence. You actively listen and provide thoughtful solutions
• Proactivity and the ability to demonstrate initiative positively and collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
