Senior Java Developer / Engineer (Java Full Stack SC Clearance) Guildford / WFH to £80k

Do you have strong Java skills combined with full stack development experience? You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands‑on role at a scaling technology company that produces software solutions for the defence and civil aviation sector. As a Senior Java Developer you will design and develop client‑based features and enhancements, working across the full technology stack on confidential projects.

You’ll use a range of technologies with a focus on Java, Spring Boot and Angular within a micro‑services environment using TDD and SOLID design principles in a collaborative, diverse team environment.

Location / WFH: You can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the Guildford office 1‑2 days a week.

• Strong Java backend development skills, ideally including Spring Boot
• Good knowledge of databases and SQL
• Good understanding of microservices, TDD / BDD, SOLID design principles, Dev Ops, CI/CD
• Collaborative and pragmatic, happy to take ownership and work with other Engineers, Data Scientists and Dev Ops
• Must have SC Clearance (or ability to achieve it – i.e. you must be a British citizen with the past 5 years continually based in the UK) due to the nature of the project / client
