We are hiring an Engineering Manager for Ceph & Distributed Storage, responsible for running an effective team, developing the engineers, and delivering high‑quality software on commodity hardware.

What you’ll do

Lead a team building a Ceph‑focused, software‑defined storage solution.

Build and manage a globally distributed team of engineers.

Coach, mentor and give feedback to grow team members.

Contribute directly to engineering goals, demonstrating sound engineering principles.

Set realistic schedules and ensure continuous improvement.

Manage expectations with other engineering teams and external stakeholders.

Advance modern, agile development practices.

Maintain a culture of quality and engineering excellence.

Build and nurture a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.

Work as part of the leadership team, collaborating with other leaders.

Work from home with up to 20% global travel for events.

Who you are

Software engineer with experience in Python and C++.

Experience operating scale-out storage clusters on Linux, preferably with Ceph.

Passionate about emerging technologies and pushing boundaries.

Track record of developing and growing people.

Interest in building products that improve software and infrastructure operation.

Strong knowledge and passion for software development.

Experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring developers to deliver timely, high‑quality software.

Solid experience working in an agile development environment.
