Interviews happening this week & next – decisions by end of the month.

Are you a Senior Developer ready to step into a Tech Lead role/Development Manager where you can shape products that truly make a difference? We’re partnering with an industry leader at the forefront of digital innovation in health & social care.

With offices in Scotland and Newcastle (and just one or two in‑office days per month), this is a fully remote opportunity offering the chance to lead, innovate, and grow in a supportive, forward‑thinking environment.

What you’ll do
  • 70/30 hands‑on vs. leadership split—coding, architecting, and mentoring.
  • Lead a small, talented team of developers in an agile, product‑focused environment (scrum).
  • Work across a modern full‑stack environment.
  • Influence architecture, design patterns, and tech decisions across the platform.
  • Partner with product managers to shape priorities and delivery outcomes.
  • Guide teams in designing, building, testing, and shipping new features.
  • Play a key role in hiring the next generation of engineering talent.
  • Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
  • Remain technically hands‑on, especially while teams scale.
Qualifications
  • Strong full‑stack engineer with deep problem‑solving instincts.
  • Comfortable leading technical direction and coaching others.
  • Skilled at breaking down complexity into clear actions.
  • Emotionally intelligent and great at aligning teams.
  • Confident challenging assumptions and navigating ambiguity.
  • Motivated to build elegant, scalable, future‑ready solutions.
  • Passionate about learning, improvement, and collaboration.
  • Experience with large‑scale, complex systems is a major advantage.
  • Leadership behaviour is essential; titles are not required.
What you’ll get
  • 33 days holiday, rising to 40.
  • 4‑week paid sabbatical after 5 years.
  • Innovation weeks (twice annually).
  • 20 hours paid volunteering time.
  • Monthly social time – hikes, BBQs, games nights, workshops.

Interviews are happening this week and next – apply now to secure your slot.
