Pelton.ai is an early-stage, pre-revenue startup with a bold vision to redefine how users interact with information. We are currently in "stealth build" mode,
working to create a next-generation AI Assistant similar to Nova, Genie, Perplexity, and t3.chat.

We are looking for a highly experienced builder who thrives in the zero-to-one phase. This is a high-intensity, high-impact role for a developer who wants to ship a functional, complex MVP in a short timeframe.

We are seeking a Senior Node.js Developer with 6–10 years of experience to lead the backend development of our core AI chatbot application. You will be responsible for architecting and implementing the server-side logic that powers real-time AI conversations, context management, and integration with Large Language Models (LLMs).

This is a fixed-term, one-month contract designed for a specialist who can come in, hit the ground running, and deliver a robust backend foundation.

• Core Backend Development:
  Architect and build a scalable Node.js backend to support low-latency, real-time chat interfaces.
• LLM Integration:
  Integrate third-party AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models via Hugging Face) using frameworks like Lang Chain or Llama Index.
• RAG Implementation:
  Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to allow the AI to "chat with data" (similar to Perplexity).
• Cloud
  
  Infrastructure: Deploy and manage serverless or containerized environments on AWS (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, Dynamo
  
  DB/RDS).
• API Development:
  Build secure, RESTful, and Web Socket APIs for frontend consumption.

• Experience:
  
  6–10 years of professional software development experience.
• Tech Stack:
  Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and Type Script.
• AI/ML Familiarity:
  Proven experience building chatbots or AI applications. Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, or pgvector).
• LLM orchestration tools:
  Lang Chain, Flowise.
• Prompt Engineering basics.
• Cloud:
  Strong operational experience with AWS services.
