Position: Software Architect - Mobile Cross Platform (m/f/d)

The role is hybrid and implies majority presence in the office (1-2 days / week of home office). In this role, you will be part of our Milan Software Development Hub, an agile team that develops modern software tools to help shape the next-generation elevator’s software to meet high quality and safety standards for Schindler’s products. Lead the architecture of current and future mobile apps for fitters and technicians, ensuring alignment with platform vision and driving implementation within a global software engineering team.
Responsibilities   Your future challenges will include :
Driving future-proof mobile app architectures aligned with strategy
Partnering with stakeholders to shape architectural vision and technology roadmap
Collaborating with product owners and teams on software architectural decisions
Aligning with other architects to ensure platform consistency and critical interfaces
Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineers during implementation
Evaluating technology choices through PoCs and prototypes to ensure optimal solutions
Contributing on sprint plans and challenge estimates and design proposals
Driving adoption of modern architecture practices for continuous improvement
Investigating and integrating commercial and open-source frameworks for optimal solutions
Participating in all stages of development, from planning to deployment
Guiding development teams and product owners on architectural decisions
You are a self-directed and self-organized, highly responsible, and reliable team player. You foster an effective communication in an international organization and can lead by example.
Qualifications   Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
Extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art software engineering and architecture practices and mobile app development
Proven track record of technical leadership skills
Demonstrated passion for mobile apps and delivering exceptional user experience

Experience with user experience and interface design, test automation, and app analytics and cross-platform iOS and Android mobile apps using C# and .NET
Experienced user of software development tools such as Git and JIRA, knowledge of agile software development practices such as SCRUM / Kanban
Experience in interfacing to cloud backends and establishing APIs
Proficient level of English, Italian and German are a plus
Nice to have : experience with MAUI and Xamarin
