Remote UK. Develop backend services for Perfect Scale’s data pipelines, APIs, and business logic.

Our Senior Full Stack Engineer will be an integral part of our Engineering teams in EMEA. This role is based remotely as a full‑time employee in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, Israel. We are also open to contractors in Eastern Europe and Portugal.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Oriented), you’ll help design, build, and scale the backend services that power Perfect Scale’s data pipelines, APIs, and business logic. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and Dev Ops to deliver user‑facing features built on robust, distributed systems.

• Collaborate with product, Dev Ops, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver elegant and well‑thought‑out solutions for complex problems.
• Implement features from proposal through design and implementation to maintenance. You’re expected to propose additions that enhance the product.
• Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices and perform code reviews.
• Improve the health of the codebase. We dedicate one day per week to housekeeping.
• Provide feedback in planning and discussion sessions, identifying challenges and unknowns early.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• 6+ years of Backend or Full Stack development experience.
• At least 3+ years of commercial Golang experience.
• 2+ years of experience with high traffic / high load distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with Databases – relational and non‑relational – including performance, schema, and query optimization. Click House and Postgres
  
  SQL are a big advantage.
• Experience developing enterprise‑grade SaaS products, microservices and containers.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git Ops, CI/CD.
• Passion for distributed systems design and infrastructure.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
• Ability to operate flexibly in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving team environment.
• Self‑organized, goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, confident and tenacious.

• Hands‑on production experience with Kubernetes.
• Hands‑on production experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in data engineering – streaming and batch processing, Spark, Tryno, Iceberg, Click House, Parquet.
