Our Senior Full Stack Engineer will be an integral part of our Engineering teams in EMEA. This role is based remotely as a full-time employee in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, Israel. We are also open to contractors in Eastern Europe and Portugal.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend‑Oriented), you’ll help design, build, and scale the backend services that power Perfect Scale’s data pipelines, APIs, and business logic.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and Dev Ops to deliver user‑facing features built on robust, distributed systems.

• Collaborate with product, Dev Ops, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver elegant solutions for complex problems.
• Implement features from proposal through design, implementation and maintenance; propose enhancements that add value to the product.
• Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices; perform code reviews for peers.
• Improve codebase health with a dedicated housekeeping day each week.
• Provide feedback during planning and early challenge identification.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• 6+ years of backend or full‑stack development experience.
• 3+ years of commercial Golang experience.
• 2+ years of experience with high‑traffic, high‑load distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with relational and non‑relational databases, performance, schema, and query optimization (Click House and Postgre
  
  SQL are a distinct advantage).
• Experience developing enterprise‑grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers.
• Experienced with Docker.
• Passion for distributed systems design and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with modern Dev Ops frameworks and best practices:
  Docker, Kubernetes, Git Ops, CI/CD.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
• Ability to operate flexibly in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving team environment.
• Self‑organized, goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, confident, thorough, and tenacious.

• Hands‑on production experience with Kubernetes.
• Hands‑on production experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with data engineering – streaming and batch processing, Spark, Trino, Iceberg, Click House, Parquet.
