We are seeking a hands‑on engineering leader to build a new product line from the ground up and lead a small team of product engineers working on AI voice & chat agents. You will work closely with our leadership to get this from 0 to 1 in record time, and integrate seamlessly into Found, our operating system for care.
Responsibilities- Prototype and build the foundation for our product; own the technical roadmap.
- Code alongside the team while also sharing the product hat with our GM, supported by our VP Product and CPTO.
- Build and manage a team of three product engineers; help them grow and deliver more impact.
- Ensure a high bar in terms of speed and quality, oscillating between the two as context demands.
- Help the team operate effectively by breaking problems down into simpler ones for fast delivery and impact.
- Wear other hats necessary to the success of the team.
- Build AI voice and chat agents to help care homes provide 5‑star service to people seeking care.
- Ensure our agents provide high‑quality responses and accurate information, with robust evaluation frameworks to measure and improve performance.

- Fine‑tune voice quality, tone, and emotional intelligence to create warm, empathetic interactions that reflect our care values.
- Build systems that balance LLM economics – managing token costs, latency trade‑offs, and knowing when to fine‑tune vs. prompt engineer.
- Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable working on challenges with many unknowns.
- 7+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, including leading technical decisions and mentoring engineers across the stack.
- Hands‑on experience building with LLMs – fine‑tuning models, working with voice APIs, or building eval frameworks.
- Strong opinions on LLM observability, prompt engineering, and building reliable AI systems.
- Extremely product‑mindful and conscious of what great looks like from an engineering standpoint; focus on impact and reducing cost of change.
- Comfortable shipping MVPs that work, then iterating based on real usage.
- Enjoys using AI in workflow – tools like Cursor, Claude, or similar – and understands LLM limitations.
- Has built something 0‑to‑1 and worked in cross‑functional teams.
- Values diversity and inclusion; passionate about creating a space where everyone's voices are heard.
- Brings joy and builds meaningful work relationships.
- The mission to elevate later life care doesn’t resonate with you.
- You want very clear lanes and don’t enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment with loosely defined requirements.

- You don’t know how to be scrappy.
