Our Senior Full Stack Engineer will be an integral part of our Engineering teams in EMEA. This role is based remotely as a full‑time employee in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, and Israel. We are also open to contractors in East Europe and Portugal.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Oriented), you’ll help design, build, and scale the backend services that power Perfect Scale’s data pipelines, APIs, and business logic.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and Dev Ops to deliver user‑facing features built on robust, distributed systems.

• Collaborate with product, devops, backend and frontend engineers to deliver elegant and well‑thought‑out solutions for complex problems
• Implement features
  —from proposal through design and implementation to maintenance. You’re expected to propose things that you think can be an excellent addition to the products
• Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices, and also perform code reviews for your peers
• Improve the health of the codebase
  . We’re mindful of accumulating technical debt. We dedicate one day per week to housekeeping
• Provide feedback to the team during planning and discussions to surface challenges and unknowns early

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• 6+ years of Backend or Full Stack development experience
• At least 3+ years of commercial Golang experience
• 2+ years of experience with high‑traffic/high‑load distributed systems and data pipelines
• Experience with databases—relational and non‑relational, including performance/schema/query optimization. Click House and Postgre
  
  SQL are a strong advantage
• Experience developing enterprise‑grade SaaS products, microservices and containers
• Experience working with microservices and containers (Docker)
• Experience and passion for distributed systems design and infrastructure
• Familiarity with modern Dev Ops frameworks and best practices—Docker, Kubernetes, Git Ops, CI/CD
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving team environment
• Self‑organized, goal‑oriented, self‑motivated individual who is confident, thorough and tenacious

• Hands‑on production experience with Kubernetes
• Hands‑on production experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with data engineering—streaming and batch processing, Spark, Trino, Iceberg, Click House, Parquet
