What You’ll Be Doing
The  Senior Consultant, Application Development  will be working with Shared Platform Technology under ECIF and is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms. Design and develop scalable and secure solutions to manage client data within ECIS domain, ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy regulations. Lead the modernization of legacy systems, supporting migration of the client data management applications to cloud-native environments on Azure or Open Shift.

Leverage Solace for event-driven messaging to ensure real-time and reliable data synchronization across applications. Design, develop, and implement microservices using Java and Quarkus to enable seamless integration of client data services across the enterprise. The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact.

Collaborate with business, compliance, and technical teams to ensure client data solutions meet regulatory standards while addressing business needs. The role makes technology selection decisions is often made in situations where business requirements are not fully defined.

How You’ll Succeed
Design and development:  Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
Strategic planning:  Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
Leadership skills:  Act as a development lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.
Managing Multiple Priorities:  Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities. Effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation. Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
Interpersonal Relationships:  Demonstrate knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience:  in 8+ years of Java application development and support. You can clearly demonstrate technical understanding of  Java/J2EE, JSON/REST API, RDBMS/SQL, Git Hub, Docker, Maven/Gradle, Postman, Junit, App security Scan tools (Blackduck, fortify, Sonar Qube), Jenkins, CI/CD.
You have detailed understanding:  of Web Services/microservices integration ( gRPC, REST, JSON, WSDL/SOAP, XML. )
You will implement:  APIs based on architecture frameworks ( light4j, Spring/Springboot, gRPC, Quarkus ), specifications, and guidelines. Analyze, design, and develop functional and secure codes that provide value-added functionality to the bank.
You possess:  extensive knowledge of understanding complex SQL queries (sub queries, aggregation, filtering, joints) and suggest improvements. Experience architecting complex systems considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
