Senior Software Engineer

Overview  Join the  Senior Software Engineer  team at  Forward Financing , a Boston‑based fintech that unlocks capital for small businesses across America. The role is fully remote (EST business hours) and supports our growing scrum teams.
In This Role, You Will   Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure software solutions that meet Forward’s evolving business needs.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
Lead technical initiatives that enhance the quality, scalability, and reliability of our third‑party integration infrastructure.
Elevate software quality through best practices and code review.
Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering productivity through artifacts, coaching, and design reviews.

Role Requirements   5+ years of full‑stack development experience, with backend focus (Ruby preferred).
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and the SDLC.
Experience in Agile software development.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
It Would Be Nice If You Also Had   Technical leadership or mentorship experience.
Design and implementation of complex systems across multiple applications and languages.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Experience with Type Script.
Influence others and demonstrate project management skills.
