Junior Developer

We're looking for a junior developer to join the team at Durell

You will be a back-end focused developer working on the new version of our Policy Administration System (CRM, insurance policy management, accounting) in the back-end team under the guidance of one of our senior developers. You will be helping us refactor and upgrade current functionality to deliver a modern, intuitive and data rich insurance broking platform. The project is well underway with the new version coming to market in 2026

• Refactor and upgrade existing back-end functionality.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs.
• Collaborate with senior developers to deliver a modern, data rich platform.

• Experience with .NET Core/.NET Framework, C# & VB.
• Familiarity with MySQL and Azure Dev Ops.
• Knowledge of Git and source control best practices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, RESTful services, clean code and problem solving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Full-time role with flexible hours and work-from-home options.
• Gross salary £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
• Enrolment in a pension plan with employee contributions matched to 5%.
