Software Engineer, Frontend

Door Dash is building the world's most reliable on-demand logistics engine for delivery. We are expanding rapidly and growing our engineering teams globally. We are seeking Frontend Engineers to develop and maintain a large-scale, 24x7 global infrastructure system that powers Door Dash's three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and Dashers.

Frontend Engineers at Door Dash are responsible for designing and building intuitive, beautiful user interfaces for our web applications to enhance the delivery experience. These product-focused engineers work at the intersection of product and infrastructure to solve key business problems with elegant technical solutions. You will collaborate with both technical and business teams to develop features prioritizing user experience.

This role is hybrid, requiring some in-office presence, and reports to an Engineering Manager.

• Owning the development of one of our client-facing applications.
• Writing robust, well-tested, and high-quality code.
• Enhancing customer experience through technical and product decisions.

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of industry experience.
• Experience architecting large-scale frontend applications.
• Proficiency in web fundamentals: vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS

• Deep understanding of REST principles and experience working with backend APIs.
• Experience with React/Redux or similar frameworks.
• Experience with documentation, unit testing, and integration testing.
