World Class Defence Organisation based in Bristol is currently looking to recruit 2x C++ Software Engineer subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract, with very likely extension. The role will be onsite 4 days per week. A 4 day working week is OK (Monday to Thursday). Rate: £65.00 per hour Overtime Rate:
Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at time and a quarter

Job Description:

The role is within a team implementing a demonstration system for a complex new Command and Control capability, this extends existing concepts and logic. If the demonstration is successful, it may develop into a development project for a fully operational capability. Responsibilities:
Developing and testing complex C++ business logic. Collaboration with internal algorithm teams to create code to execute algorithms, implement complex transformation logic and verification implementation. We expect several iterations using a CI/CD approach. Implementation of interfaces to internal and external systems. Extension of existing software to create components that will run in in a virtual environment and supporting the deployment of software.

Skillset/experience required:
Strong experience in C++ application development. A strong background in software engineering, its realisation and system wide impact. Experience in CI/CD pipelines, Git Lab, Docker.

Experience of developing software for virtual environments. Knowledge of safety and security related development and associated standards is advantageous. Knowledge of Data Distribution Service (DDS) is advantageous.
