Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Linux SQL C++17) London / WFH to £110k

Global-leading Fin Tech is seeking a senior Backend Software Engineer to take ownership of strategic enhancements on their core platform, as well as directly on bespoke client projects.

The organisation is a pioneer in cross‑asset securities and derivatives post‑trade processing technology, and has created ground‑breaking, adaptable software that produces secure and scalable solutions for peak operational efficiency and optimum business performance for clients.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll design and build unique technical solutions, meet user requirements and contribute to the evolution of the cutting‑edge platform.

You'll also enjoy working in a modern, technology‑driven environment with a great deal of autonomy across the full development lifecycle, influencing key technical decisions and working with a highly collaborative, experienced team.

You'll join colleagues in the London office three days a week with flexibility to work from home the other two days.

• You have strong C++ development experience on Linux or UNIX, C++14 and above
• You have good SQL skills
• You are a passionate technologist motivated by working on cutting‑edge systems and engineering complex solutions
• You are a positive, proactive team member who excels when working collaboratively
• You have a strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
• You are degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline
• Ideally you will have experience working in a financial services or trading environment although technical skills are of far greater importance
