Yet true hands‑on STEM learning remains out of reach for most schools due to cost, time, and logistical barriers. Qweebi’s Virtual Makerspace enables students to build in a virtual environment that behaves exactly like the real world – empowering them to build robots, complex circuitry and engineering contraptions. The best part — all they need is a Chromebook and an internet connection.

We’re assembling a multidisciplinary team of game designers, engineers, teachers, product designers, and creatives passionate about building the world’s largest eco‑system for cutting‑edge STEM education for K12 students everywhere!

• Design, build, and operate backend systems that power real‑time, interactive 3D experiences for tens of thousands of concurrent users — even on low‑end Chromebooks.

• Deliver measurable performance and latency guarantees that our users can rely on every single day.

• You’ll be expected to conceptualize, prototype, and validate new AI use cases that can meaningfully enhance learning outcomes, increase classroom engagement and reduce teacher workload.

• Design and implement AI orchestration frameworks that integrate with leading LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, etc.) and external tools to enable complex, multi‑step reasoning. Build systems for prompt‑chaining, context and memory management, and intelligent tool‑use to deliver reliable, context‑aware learning experiences across multi‑turn interactions.

• Evolve our CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes to ship new features weekly with confidence.

• Instrument systems with observability, logging, and monitoring so issues are detected and resolved before users notice.

• Implement data privacy and security practices aligned with COPPA/FERPA for K-12 users.

• Ensure the platform is safe, stable, and scalable as we grow globally.

• Proven at scale:
  Designed, built, and operated production systems serving tens of thousands of concurrent users with strict performance and latency budgets.

• Strong foundation: 7+ years of experience building distributed backend systems (Node.js/Type Script preferred).

• Real‑time collaboration:
  Experience with event‑driven or multiplayer architectures — websockets, Pub/Sub, message queues, or equivalent.

• Cloud & infra mastery:
  Deep hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Cloud Front), Cloudflare, and global caching/CDN strategies.

• RDBMS & data design:
  Strong grasp of relational database principles, schema design, indexing, query optimization, and transaction management — ideally with Postgre
  
  SQL at scale.

• AI integration experience:
  Demonstrated practical experience integrating ML or LLM APIs into real products either professionally or in a hobby project capacity.

• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks — built systems for prompt‑chaining, context management, and intelligent tool use.

• Systems debugging:
  Expert in diagnosing complex performance, infra, and networking issues across the stack.

• CI/CD craftsmanship:
  Proven ability to evolve pipelines and automated testing frameworks that support rapid, reliable iteration.

Leadership & collaboration:
Mentors others, drives design reviews, and aligns engineers and product teams around clear technical outcomes.

Nice to Have:

• Frontend or GUI experience (Vue, React, or similar).

• Experience with real‑time, collaborative, or gaming applications.

• Previous work in EdTech, startup environment, or educational tools.

• You should be able to overlap significantly with India time (GMT+5:30) or nearby zones. We expect your core working hours to align with the team in this region.
