About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Blockchain Developer to join their innovative team in Pietermaritzburg . This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects within the rapidly evolving Crypto & Blockchain space. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing secure, efficient, and scalable blockchain solutions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and a forward-thinking mindset, working collaboratively to push the boundaries of decentralized technologies and create impactful applications that will shape the future of digital finance and asset management.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain).
- Develop and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and related backend services.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and blockchain solutions.
- Research and implement new blockchain technologies and protocols to enhance existing systems.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture and design of blockchain projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in blockchain development , including smart contract programming (Solidity, Rust, or similar).
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic principles.
- Experience with web3 libraries and frameworks (e.g., Truffle, Hardhat, Web
3.js, Ethers.js). - Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go).
- Familiarity with security best practices in smart contract development and blockchain applications.
