Embedded Systems Engineer - Firmware Development

Our client is seeking a talented Embedded Systems Engineer with a strong focus on Firmware Development to join their innovative product development team. • Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers and microprocessors using C/C++.
• Implement real-time operating systems (RTOS) and device drivers.
• Develop and maintain communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet).
• Debug and test firmware using emulators, simulators, and target hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and review schematics.
• Optimize firmware for performance, memory usage, and power consumption.
• Develop and implement unit tests and integration tests for firmware modules.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues in both development and production environments.
• Contribute to the overall system architecture and design of embedded products.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems and firmware development.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in embedded firmware development.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with various microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC, AVR).
• Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX).
• Familiarity with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, SWD) and oscilloscopes.
• Understanding of hardware-software interaction and interfaces.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, vital for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting.
