As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and optimize cloud-native payment processing and ledger infrastructure that supports banks and innovative financial technology companies worldwide.

You will combine deep Java expertise with advanced performance engineering to build reliable, secure, and high-throughput transaction systems. In this role, you will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to product launches and operational stability. You will also provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering decisions with business and regulatory needs.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will drive the development of robust software solutions while supporting engineering excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Design, develop, test, analyze, and review code to ensure accuracy, functionality, performance, and security.

• Drive the software development lifecycle, including defining sprint goals, maintaining operational stability, and leading product launches.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor fellow engineers, and help strengthen the team's technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, software architects, and other stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Document architectural designs, create developer guides, and facilitate effective knowledge transfer through clear, comprehensive documentation.
• Optimize application performance and reliability for high-throughput, real-time transaction processing systems.
• Promote secure, compliant software development practices throughout the engineering lifecycle.

• The ideal candidate brings extensive Java enterprise development experience, strong technical problem-solving skills, and a track record of guiding engineers in a fintech environment. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or a foreign equivalent.
• At least 7 years of professional experience as a Java developer.
• At least 6 years of experience in Java enterprise software development.
• At least 5 years of experience with Java and JVM memory and performance tuning, including strong knowledge of lambdas, generics, and data structures such as maps, lists, and sets.
• At least 5 years of experience applying common software design patterns and advanced algorithm design for high-throughput systems.
• At least 4 years of experience with concurrent programming techniques, such as the Actor Model, Java Completable Future, and thread-pool executors, particularly for real-time transaction systems.
• At least 4 years of experience with Hibernate or equivalent JPA frameworks, including query performance optimization.
• At least 4 years of experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server, as well as No

• At least 2 years of experience ensuring software development compliance.
• Remote work permitted within Texas, United States, with the listed job site located in Austin, Texas.
