Site-based role, undertaking Highway Safety Inspections across the M25DB
FO Network. As a Highway Safety Inspector you will carry out daily driven inspections of the M25 DBFO network to identify defects which pose a risk to road users, decide on required actions to rectify those defects, and perform monthly walked safety inspections. You will operate from the base at Swanley and use the vehicle in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.

• Working within a depot based environment carrying out weekly highway safety inspections on both the Motorway and APTR network.
• Identification and recording of CAT1 safety defects.
• Deciding on actions required to make the roadways safe or to rectify identified defects.

• City & Guilds 6033 – Highway Inspection (preferable) or equivalent.
• Previous experience working under a highway maintenance contract.
• Knowledge and experience of highway & motorway defects.
• Knowledge of highway construction and repair requirements.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• CSCS site visitor card.
• Full driving licence.
