Location: BowmanvilleWhat is the Opportunity?
The joint venture between Atkins Realis and Aecon has been awarded an Extended Services Master Services Agreement (ESMSA) with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for projects at both the Pickering & Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations.
Duration – 16 months
The Project Coordinator Co-op is a highly motivated self-starter who will assist in various areas of the ESMSA project, depending on business requirements.
What You'll Do Here:
Plans and implements an engineering and construction program, including defining the project plan, activities, milestones, and manpower requirementsAssist in the development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package in cooperation with construction and engineering.Identify, report, and secure approval for deviations from the design documents as they occur and before release to construction.Provide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs and applicable procedures.Provide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow.Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and managementEstablish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project.Develop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads.Maintain high standards related to final product qualityDevelops and maintains the project schedule and budget for the engineering and construction segments of the projectCoordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as built drawings, turnover documents, etc.Reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specificationsCoordinates activities relating to technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problemsInterfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensures customer needs are metAssists and monitors safety programs and statistics as requiredActive involvement in quality assurance with regards to understating and implementing policies and procedures.What You Bring To The Team:
Post secondary education in a Mechanical or Civil Engineering disciplineExcellent communication skills (both oral and written)Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large teamOrganizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientatedThrive on a fast paced-environment
