Support residents with safe transport and caring service as a casual Driver at Bupa Whitby Care Home in Porirua. Help maintain connections to appointments, shopping, and activities.
Located near the Pauatahanui Inlet, Bupa Whitby Care Home provides Rest Home, Hospital, Dementia, and Specialist Dementia Care. As a Driver, you will transport residents while prioritising safety and wellbeing. You will also assist with van entry and exit, including hoist use, and follow driving regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport residents to GP appointments and shopping trips
- Drive residents to planned activities safely
- Assist safe van entry and exit using hoists
- Follow road safety rules and driving regulations
- Support residents, visitors, and colleagues respectfully
- Previous experience working as a driver
- Current, clean full New Zealand Driver Licence
- Licence must be free of endorsements
- Current First Aid certificate
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
